Re: Team for Arsenal
Does it really matter what team we put out, Arsenal are on a bad run, they play us next so suddenly they will look like world beaters and thrash us 4-0.

Re: Team for Arsenal
What Gaffer58 said.

Whatever the line-up Mr Dead will continue to put out a side that is lethargic, unambitious and unmotivated. In fact that would describe him, the dopey, useless OAP git.

Re: Team for Arsenal
Have to have Antonio in there - their defence is as shaky as ours

Ridiculous to think that, despite how awful we are, we could be 11th if we win!

Re: Team for Arsenal
a part of me died when snodgrass contrived to go arse over tit when he was 20 yards clear of another human being on wednesday...touch of a severe rapist...that's what happens when you have headless chickens in the team who get a cheer for closing players down yet cannot control the ball or deliver a corner.

however, we will somehow win 3-0

TM’s called it right.
I’m sure Antonio will bring Haller back to life.

Re: Team for Arsenal
My team for Arsenal would be...

Barcelona.

In the event that we cannot somehow become Barcelona, though, I'll stick with the side that beat Chelsea and worked them off the pitch. We've got to start outworking teams - I'm not generally one for Opta/stats etc. but all the DATA shows that we generally cover less ground than our opponents. And it is visible in matches.

I want to see a team that works fucking hard and makes itself hard to beat. Get that bit right, and we have the technical skills to be a decent side in the Prem. But without the required energy and effort, we will continue to be relegation fodder.

The pushover brigade cannot turn up again on Monday night.

southbankbornnbred 11:42 Sun Dec 8
Re: Team for Arsenal
So I'm generally not too worried about the line-up. For me, the more important thing for West Ham at the moment is the mentality. We are, too often, lightweight, lazy and languid.

That has to change.

If we run out on Monday night with Anderson, Haller, Yarmo and Fornals in the side - the pushover brigade - then they had better start covering their ground and showing that they can compete physically in this league. We can't keep carrying them and effectively having eight, or seven, men on the pitch when we don't have the ball.

southbankbornnbred 11:47 Sun Dec 8
Re: Team for Arsenal
Martin must start in goal again, though, that's my only insistence. I'm not watching another fucking game with that kamikaze lunatic Roberto in goal.

Lertie Button 11:50 Sun Dec 8
Re: Team for Arsenal
Arsenal are lacking in confidence and organisation and Freddie is a runaway twink so they are there for the taking, no excuses.
Can't be worse than against Wolves, problem is we could be as bad
